Sweden flies Gripen fighter jets on offer to Canada as part of NATO mission As geopolitical tensions rise in many parts of the world, Swedish Armed Forces have six JAS 39 Gripen fighter jets deployed in Iceland.

"This marks a significant milestone. It’s the first time Sweden leads air policing duties in the highly strategic territory since joining NATO in 2024. It’s also an occasion for the Swedes to show off their fighter jets to Canada, and how they fit into NATO operations" www.ctvnews.ca/canada/artic...

Lloyd Axworthy: Canada once rejected America’s aggressive, unlawful foreign policy. Today Mark Carney embraced it By endorsing preventive strikes on Iran during ongoing diplomacy, and after Washington itself shredded the previous agreement, we are embracing the very doctrine we used to reject, writes Lloyd Axwort...

β€œWe invoke international law and the β€œrules based international order” when adversaries engage in unlawful actions, but abandon those same rules entirely when it’s the Americans…For a country that depends on law more than force for its own security, that is not realism; it is recklessness.”

if a LIBNDPGRN coalition were formed on 30 ridings, 30 that they lose anyway so there's no loss in trying, Ford could be removed from power by coalescing to the GRN vote in just those ridings.

The Star has to stop begging Ford to do anything about anything and start to report instead on how to oust him from office. If LIBNDPGRN coalition were formed on 30 ridings, 30 that are lost anyway so there's no loss in trying, Ford could be removed from power

All provincial leaders including Marit Stiles need to resign for not forming a coalition to stop vote splitting thus allowing Ford to walk into office three times in a row. Protesting education to Ford, of all people, is just a waste of time, sorry

BC Liberals 20 seats need to break off creating a Climate Liberal party away from the Carney oil-soaked Liberals and hold them to account. They've gone waaaay off into Harperland

That's too bad I really enjoyed my last two gigs as a remote worker. Some IT companies at least saw the benefits and I hope they can keep that going. I'm off for the moment and will try to make my own stuff to continue remotely. The dread of the cubicle is a good motivator

What a sucker economy. Throwing it all away to multinationals. Royalties 12% oil&gas, 20% potash are a joke. Norway's 56% too late, they timed it perfectly. Prices are falling as demand destruction switches to cheaper renewables. Forget pipelines, solar/wind need those resources. Let's do value-add

Norway's special tax on oil royalties is 56%, in addition to the ordinary corporate income tax rate of 22%, resulting in a total tax rate of 78% on petroleum-related income (norskpetroleum). They are using their win-fall for renewable energy projects among other things

Mining companies in SK are not a part of the constitution. People would have to sue the province for not collecting royalties beyond the meager 20% for its citizens
