this turned out to be exactly enough for everything for him (vet and meds cost ~386, rent missing for October was 273, that eleven remaining I used to get him and his siblings a treat since he'd been so good)

I got him to eat his probiotic and some pumpkin mixed with turkey paté
he didn't eat a full serving but more than half of it so that's better than nothing

I had help previously but it wasn't working out and l've had to do a lot of it on my own, now I'm stuck in a situation where working isn't possible for my health and while I'm already caretaking for my disabled child that needs constant care. I did not ever envision this happening to me and have always worked hard to take care of my family but now I'm in what feels like an impossible situation trying my best to take care of my kids and myself so I can stay around for them as long as possible. Im not enjoying coming online asking for help but I have no where else to turn. I'm doing

Vet was very nice, fudged some numbers to make meds cheaper and recced the OTC meds so we wouldn't be charged an arm and a leg

The vet gave us medications and recommendations for OTC medications that I can get and IF those don't solve the issue that gives me time to raise enough for blood tests in the interim
and if it fixes things I can focus on buying food for the boi and his siblings with any excess after needs r met

the only way I will care is if you tell me you got x and it was a bad deal
in which case i will helpfully say "if you go to y and get a it's the same quality and a greater quantity at a similar or lower price"
