I believe it's a matter of perspective. PKM is sold to us as building a second brain, implying building and maintaining a system. In reality the point is to interact with your stuff. For sure if it's well organised it's easier, but at the end of the day what matters is : do you talk with yourself ?

I second this, but I wonder, if Signal is gone, then the users have to pick another service that will compromise them, then it will be worse that having a poorer Signal. I obviously see the huge cracks in this logic, but i'd be curious to hear the official stance on the foundation.

I see myself in some of the things said

While it's my main work tool as a knowledge worker sometimes I lose myself in it and feel like should take some emotional distance from it

Je trouve que c'est une idée excellente, ce sont des canaux médias qui toucheront les cibles des arnaques. Honnêtement je serai content que ma famille tombe sur un programme comme ça et y a un potentiel d'intérêt pour le côté enquête/criminel.

La "neophilie" est la propension à aimer ce qui est nouveau. Notre société s'ignore dans sa névrose et le cache sous le masque "progrès" ou "innovation", mais derrière c'est un système carnassier qui pousse tj plus de complexité pour vendre.

C'est une boucle sans fin il apparait, qui pourrait en avoir une si on ne vivait pas dans une économie de marché qui pousse un petit nombre de gens à tout faire pour battre une concurrence, et ainsi profiter de cette particularités que je viens de décrire pour vendre toujours plus de merde aux gens.

Plus je raisonne à ce sujet, plus je comprends que l'humain (au moins l'occidental) cherche des degrés supplémentaires de confort comme le tournesol cherche le soleil, mais qu'à amchaque degré il développe de nouveaux désirs et repousse la frontière du "bien" pour se mettre à cherche encore un mieux

Plus je travaille, plus je me rend compte de la suffisance et puissance du plain text.
Plus j'intègre ce constat, plus j'ouvre les yeux sur les aberrations industrielles et logicielles que l'on a poursuivi pour avoir un peu de confort.
