Remastering polishes the original while remaking creates something new from scratch, albeit inspired by the original. I always thought they were two different things, at least logically, but gaming industry lacks logic most of the time.

It looks way too different to call a remaster, more like a remake, a complete graphical overhaul... I hope they did not ruin the game with "modern adaptations" that ruin most game series.
