The Tyne Bridge between Newcastle and Gateshead was officially opened by George V on this day 1928. Designed by Mott, Hay and Anderson, who later designed the Forth Road Bridge, and built by Dorman Long of Middlesbrough.

Today I'll mostly be doing a sightseeing half pint run around Newcastle with some of the Belfast Brethren

The Black Bull is certainly the elder statesman pub of Wylam, especially considering its lowping stone which is a relic in itself!

It was a joy to judge this with some other great people. There is so much great work going under the radar by women in this industry and it's about time we celebrated those people!
