PBT Salt Lakes is very underrated. It’s a very fun set.

If they’re made of PBT you can bring water to a boil and drop the keycap in for 30-60 seconds to soften it up and then you can bend back and flatten it against a firm, flat surface. Not sure I’ve ever seen ones bend of their own accord like that before though.

Trump's IRS chief finally said IRS Direct File is "gone." Intuit lobbied hard against free federal filing for years.

Here's Intuit CEO Sasan Goodarzi defending that record in a Decoder interview last year. Intuit later asked us to cut this part. We refused.

Hang the files in the middle of the town square. And I do mean both files.

And the majority of the interest and investment is directed at the junk — financially benefiting some of the worst people.

This whole branding of *everything* as AI has resulted in valuable, domain-expertise-informed applications of machine learning being conflated with a lot of fucking junk — trained on stolen data and with dubious usefulness — which is tragic.

House passes budget bill that inexplicably bans state AI regulations for ten years President Trump's "one big, beautiful" bill has passed Congress. In addition to steep cuts to health care, it includes a ten-year moratorium on AI regulations.

So when the decisions are critical to the individual health of women the decisions should be taken away from the individual and given to a state government, but when the decisions will keep billionaire oligarchs in check state governments shouldn't get any say? Cool.

Republicans thinking that students *electing* to pursue a degree in African studies or the Spanish language is somehow ‘DEI’ really drives home the fact that they don’t have any concept of what they’re talking about.

I haven’t stopped being angry about the ease with which roughly a dozen billionaires the world over have made every idiot their sycophantic serfs. They rob us blind and instead of violence they’re met with gratitude. It’s fucking pathetic.

The fact that everything is getting worse for everyone and so many conservative white men are cheering, despite being included in the ‘everyone’, should be evidence enough that white supremacy is a fucking farce.

This is a very cool thing to see. I remember years ago trying to design a custom dyesub set on a site with a similar premise, but the legend options were more limited and the print quality disappointed. I might need to give this a shot.

The president is conducting a press event with the primary purpose of flouting the decisions of the courts and the letter and spirit of U.S. law. It is a press event to celebrate the Constitutional crisis and serial violation of human rights he has set in motion.

Original 1925 jacket cover of The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby
Here is a novel, glamorous, ironical, compassionate a marvellous fusion into unity of the curious incongruities of the life of the period which reveals a hero like no other one who could live at no other time and in no other place. But he will live as a character, we surmise, as long as the memory of any reader lasts.
"There was something gorgeous about him, some heightened sensitivity to the promises of life. ..
It was an
extraordinary gift for hope, a romantic readiness such as I have never found in any other person and which it is not likely I shall ever find again?"
It is the story of this Jay Gatsby who came so mysteriously to West Egg, of his sumptuous er-tertainments, and of his love for Daisy Buchanan a story that ranges from pure lyrical beauty to sheer brutal realism, and is infused with a sense of the strangeness of human circumstance in a heedless universe.
It is a magical, living book, blended of irony, romance, and mysticism.

They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.

ANYWAY, did you know there's an extension you can put on Chrome that will connect with your local library system and when you go look at a book, say on AMZ, it will tell you if that book exists in the library system and if it's available?

It's literally called Library Extension.

NBA: We need to make the game about basketball.

Broadcast: Best we can do is 10 minutes of basketball then 50 minutes of drunk Kevin Hart doing improv like an insecure high school bully and a small break of Mr Beast doing hunger games with a smile that isn’t allowed within 1 mile of a school.

I really wanted to watch for Wemby’s first game, but honestly this sucks. I’m gonna vote with my viewership and just turn this shit off.

I like Ernie and the guys, but this has got to be the worst All-Star game I’ve watched in a while. They already shortened the final game a lot, but taking a 30 minute break in the middle of it? I honestly feel bad for some of the first timers or younger guys like Wemby.

Oh my is Kevin Hart unfunny. As if this all-star game wasn’t off to a slow enough start we’ve gotta listen to this shit?

Musk called someone the "R" word for saying the government uses SQL The government is built on SQL.

If you're not a data scientist, imagine a car mechanic putting windshield wiper fluid in the gas tank while calling you a moron for saying gas goes there. It's like that.

I know pointing out hypocrisy doesn’t matter anymore, but if there’s one person I wouldn’t want to be the judge of who goes into locker rooms, it would be the man who openly boasted about walking into dressing rooms of underage girls

It should be super weird to everyone that a billionaire — who can’t run for President — pranced around on stage like he personally won an election.

And then overtly sieg heil’d the crowd.

Support your local library, go there. Engage in your community and see what activities they have.

Can vouch for the Classic TKL. It’s great keyboard value. Just need to get my hands on an updated aluminum plate to round out the build.
