Respectfully, is there someone I can petition about getting my books added, as a fan of the game who also happens to be an author for children?

mRNA tech is some of the coolest, most powerful, most promising scifi shit humans are currently doing. They are being investigated to help with cancers, autoimmune diseases, M.S., stroke recovery, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, and high cholesterol.

And, yes, to clarify, I know that books with autistic kids in public school exist. I've written one, even!

But it seems to me that too often books with autistic characters posit homeschooling or "special" private schools as the "solution" to the problems faced by autistic kids. And that bugs me.

My kingdom for a book that clearly states that autistic people--including people with high support needs--can and should be educated in public school, with appropriate accommodations as mandated by the ADA or similar civil rights legislation.

I'm not saying that it is? Simply that people shouldn't make broad generalizations based on anecdata.

They're real. But people should be honest about their sources. (i.e. "This comes from me and a bunch of my friends and hasn't yet been systematically studied.")

I don't think the cultural identity vs. diagnosis distinction matters in this context? People shouldn't make broad statements that aren't supported by empirical research.

4. Autistic and other neurodivergent influencers should not be making broad claims that have little scientific backing. It's true that most autism science sucks, but that's not an excuse for throwing more pseudoscience into the ether.

3. The baseball "ghost runner" rule can be fun, but it dramatically lowers the possibility of a monstrous 18-inning game that won't ever end, and I think that's kind of sad.
