Sounds like confirmation bias meets illusory superiority. Execs/PMs trust their own experience over user research that contradicts them. Add a dash of motivated skepticism (suddenly questioning methodology only when findings are unfavorable) and you get why UXR often isn't heard

With the pace that teams can deliver features, UXRs are more important than ever. If only product leaders will truly listen to & respect what the researchers are uncovering
