To sum up: Bulgaria is pro-EU. Bulgaria is anti-Putin. Don’t let Russia and its proxies convince you otherwise.

In 2024 over 65% of Bulgarians believed that leaving the EU would have a negative impact on the country (vs 62.8% in 2023), while only 25% thought it would be fine (vs. 27.9% in 2023).

Not only that, since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Putin's image is collapsing in Bulgaria. Negative views of him surged from 15.9% (2017) to 49.5% (2024), while positive ones plunged from 43% to 22%.
