This will be a new story set years after the ending of S4. It'll have it's own title but will release on the same feed as the OG. Your fave vampires will be back (unless your fave is That One, he's super dead, sorry). Fresh story. Fresh blood.

'Monsters are hunting him, his job is a drag, and his boyfriend wants to eat him'. As an A&E nurse, Alfie deals with horror everyday, but almost being killed by a walking corpse and being saved by a vampire takes things a bit far, even for him. The vampire is Casper, and he’s hundreds of years old, and Alfie can’t seem to leave him alone, despite both of their best efforts. The more Alfie learns about Casper and his world, the more he finds himself inescapably drawn deeper into both. Despite Casper’s misgivings about his kind, the relationship between vampires and humans is more complicated than just predator and prey, and his own relationship with Casper is a heady, carnal blend of horror, hunger, love and lust.

Not Quite Dead started airing on Halloween in 2022, and was initially conceived as a series of short stories. It's the third audio drama by Eira Major, who voices both Alfie and Neige in the show. The show is intended to be an exploration of the vampire as a monstrous other; of the intimacy of violence; of the violence of intimacy. It uses vampires as a lens to explore discomfort with divergent bodies and ways of being, drawing on lived experience and huge amounts of research to draw a modern portrait of the vampire as a figure which is inherently queer and other. 'A show about vampires you can sink your teeth into'
