im still a little confused on Roman Numerals. like i know how things up to like. 20 or so work. but like... how do u tell if XXXII is "32" (3 X's means 3 10's, 2 1's after the tens means added) or like. -8 (2 X's before X, means subtract 20 from 10, -10. Then add 2 so -8)

tho one of my friends is a FIEND for HK, they will spend HOURS grinding out the hardest bosses no-hit just because its fun (i cannot understand such desires but hey, as long as theyre having fun x3)

for me, i love the game for a few reasons.

its in that perfect middle section of challenging but not dark souls difficult. if im stuck on a boss itll only be for an hr or two max, and then BEATING that boss? absolutely amazing
plus, the movement meshes rlly well with combat, which is super fun

so. I just heard Neichel's Track from Kirby Star-crossed Worlds. I'm now purchasing the game.

i can definitely understand where you're coming from, cause Hollow Knight and Silksong are both games built for a specific kind of person - my biggest fear with the fact that it came out in such a spectacular fashion is that now, everyone is playing it, when not everyone will enjoy its kind of game

Hollow Knight and Silksong are both built around the mindset that beating the hard bosses is the reward. Its not getting to fight more after, the reward is the feeling that you completed the challenge. It's the feeling of clawing your way up with nothing but your own skill, which is what I love

to me, thats one of the things i love about the game. it makes it feel like I'm actually exploring through a world that is dangerous. in lore, many people die every day doing what Hornet is trying to do, so having the obstacles in the way that don't lead to a reward makes sense in-world
