With the effort to gaslight the American public failing, is a turning point upon us? Will the civic response of neighbors protecting neighbors—one we have seen in Southern California — strengthen a movement against cruel enforcement practices and for democratic revival? 2/3

The recent fatal shootings by federal immigration agents in Minnesota has shaken the nation.

Video and eyewitness accounts have challenged official narratives and revealed the unnecessary death of a community member protecting others. 1/3

These patterns underscore the continued need for policies and investments that advance equitable access to homeownership. 3/3

By 2024, homeownership rates increased for both groups, but the Black–white homeownership gap widened to 27.8 percentage points, as white homeownership rose faster than Black homeownership. 2/3

This Black History Month, let's look at what has changed and what hasn't since 1968. In 1970, shortly after the Fair Housing Act was signed into law in 1968, 41.8% of Black households owned their home, compared to 66.1% of White households—representing a 24.3 percentage-point homeownership gap. 1/3
