This art fight attack was technically a revenge, but I didn’t know that at the time, so it wasn’t labeled as such. In this tarot card, Nightlight holds onto two clay jugs, pouring one into a pond that they gently dip their foot into. Another they pour on the ground, which makes small water paths that wind across the ground, with one spilling into the pond. In the background the sky is a muted blueish-purple, the ground is green, there are seven silver 8-pointed stars and one big yellow 8-pointed star. All eight of these stars light the sky aglow. Nightlight is a blue character with wavy dark blue hair that curls gently upwards. They wear a starry blue cloak with a sky blue trimming along its edge. They have a purple crescent moon clasp that fastens the cloak around their neck, which matches the pieces that are attached to their knees. They wear black pants, and a dark indigo pair of boots with golden heels. One eye is a bright blue five-point star, and the other is a golden crescent moon with a similarly colored circle at the right of the moon shape. This was based on The Philly Tarot Deck’s interpretation of The Star tarot card. This full body art was made in procreate in July ‘25 for Artfight by @JrangerbArt.bsky.social

An art commission for a couple friends on Discord for one of their birthdays. An anthropomorphic coyote dressed in an outfit themed from Laika Aged Through Blood gives a noogie to an anthro goat based loosely on deltarune goat characters. The goat character is brown with tan spots including one heart shaped spot on their ear. Their hair is fluffy, and they have long ears that drop down to their shoulders. They are wearing a pink and purple torn sweater, worn from apocalyptic wear and tear, a brown under shirt, tan pants, a brown leather fanny pack, and black laceless shoes. They also have bandages wrapped around their ankles. The coyote oc is orange with maroon war paint and he has lighter patches of orange fur on his face. He is wearing apocalyptic clothing based on the video game Laika, with the main differences being a maroon cape and a maroon stripe going down his pants legs. He has a metal face mask around his neck. He is playfully giving the goat OC a noogie, as if they were brothers seeing each other for the first time since the apocalypse. Don’t be afraid to get a little messy with your sketch either. Your chicken scratch sketch will turn out just the same if not better than if you meticulously chose each line while sketching.

You’ve got this!! I believe in you!!

Art fight is a great tool for this. Pick some of your favorite characters from the artists that are on that website, and spend one hour or two hours on each piece. By the time you have worked for ten hours on that piece that YOU MIGHT NOT EVEN FINISH, you’ll have time to FINISH 5-10 drawings.

When you spend all of your time working on rendering and shading and adding extra details that the piece doesn’t really need, you’re spending time doing something other than sketching, which is where you are going to improve the most.

If you’re a new artist or a wannabe artist like me, then you should know that spending upwards of 10 or more hours on that piece of art for free to try to improve is not helping you.
