When he puts it that way - I suddenly think it would be a good idea.

Sadly you are wrong. Assuming that people with realize what a sham Trump is is one of the reasons we are where we are today.

The more important question - why was it so easy for his cabal to take control of computer systems? And how can those on other agencies best resist?

Donate to Fund Jonathan's Space Report Library Transition, organized by Jonathan McDowell For 35 years I've been sharing information about space exploration wโ€ฆ Jonathan McDowell needs your support for Fund Jonathan's Space Report Library Transition

Like many others, I have relied through the years on Jonathanโ€™s compilation of space data and history. No other public (or private) resource comes close to the amount of historical detail on the worldโ€™s space activities. Please consider donating.

New Glenn: If no major issues are found, Blue may be able to aim for the rocket's maiden flight in the first week of January or shortly thereafter; a notice to mariners and aviators indicates a possible 1/6 launch, but that's not an official date; we'll post updates as solid info becomes available

Im not in academia. We donโ€™t have any rules other than a warningโ€œeverything you post is publicโ€. I have the disclaimer anyway - yet I was the cause of consternation when a news story quoted my tweet as โ€œan engineer at XYZโ€ making it seem I spoke for the company.

Is this the closest approach flyby to earth or have there been others that are just as close? COLA must have been a pain in the โ€ฆ cola.

How fast is the Lucy Earth Gravity Assist? Fast!

Lucy entered within lunar orbit about one hour ago. At around 3:28 UTC (Dec. 13) Lucy will be closer than geostationary orbits, and at 4:15 UTC closer than the ISS. By tomorrow 2 p.m. UTC Lucy will have cleared lunar orbit.

We now have gigabit internet and amazing streaming protocols. How hard would it be to add simple diagnostics to network protocols so that when a link hiccups we can easily identify the source of the issue?

The words โ€œsame missionโ€ are doing an awful lot of work here.

While $11M (per company) is nothing to sneer at, it is but a drop compared to total development costs for a new rocket glad to see ESA helping the industry but not a needle mover.
