With the Olympics done, my time at The Post is also done. It’s been an amazing five-plus years. The people I worked with weren’t just supremely talented, they were also great humans. This was truly a dream job and I’m eternally grateful I got this opportunity. In a video last week, @trevortimm.bsky.social made the point on why the FBI’s raid on WaPo reporter’s home was so shocking -- the gov't failed to disclose a law that specifically bars such raids when it sought its warrant.
Now, most Americans didn't know about this law, but we do.
And DOJ did too.

ICE are alllll over Harlem right now, 116 & Frederick Douglass, checking IDs and targeting the area’s African community. Multiple people have been detained.
Community members are advising folks to carry citizenship documents - or stay away if they are at risk
Just got done with our hearing. We have another status hearing next month with a trial date (hopefully) in the spring.
It’s more important than ever to stand strong against ICE and with the people protesting it.
We’re fighting these charges and we’re going to win.
Disappointing to see people on here talking about their ideal ICE/CBP reforms.
It is a terrorism organization that is conducting terror campaigns.
Abolish.

Every instance in which the Trump administration is forced to make changes, even cosmetic alterations like removing Bovine, is a good sign that US democracy is not yet dead.
Trump wants unchecked power. But public and political opinion still matters - and that should encourage resistance.
