Haha. Not hard to see I feel strongly in this matter. As stated. Lots of players in v2 still. And enjoying it as TT intended.

There are objective things advocating for v2. Absolutely. TT takes great care handling balance updates, for instance.

Again, sorry for wall of text.

But my main selling points were basically removed in v2. It just felt... hopeless. Also v2 had a disaster start-up. Games could even end turn 1 and it was clear they had no real thought behind it.

V3 will go back to the roots much more and I'm really rooting for it.

Still best looking game out.

...dropzone v1 had 2 main missions (Targets of Opprtunities and Recon) where the winner tended to loose the killing-battle. I e it was much more important to relocate than stay and shoot. V2... not so much.

Sorry for the trash talk. There are lots of people loving v2. Especially on the discord.

6. Games tended to be down on the last die in v1. If you check battlereports in v2 on YouTube you will see most doesn't even bother after turn 3.

7. I tracked loads of tournaments results and came to the conclusion...

...most cards are singular whereas in v1 you had several copies and thus had to plan for fairly dangerous cards. You could even bluff. It was a cool part of v1.

5. They modified the mission: Targets of opportunities. Which was a mainstay and quite revolutionary mission when it came out. Really...

...stay on table and we even now have the horrible scourge-flying-transports-of-death to deal with. Plus it is awkward to remember which identical transport have been activated and which have not.

4. The command cards were basically removed. They are back now but much more situational as...

Here is no change between editions. Looks awesome no matter what.

3. You had three ways to stop infantry. A. Drop buildings or part of buildings on them. B. Kill in cqb. C shoot the aircraft transport down.

Well I demo:ed at least 200 starter games in v1 with the main selling points of

1. No drop n shoot (rhino rush). So you had to think one turn a head. It changed a bit with the resistance.

2. Best looking game out there, or more correct, the easiest games to make the table look good.

Det finns några områden jag kan tycka brottsprovokation är ok. Att utge sig för att vara köpare av ex droger eller av misstänkt stöldgods t ex. Och egentligen för att utge sig vara barn där pedofiler är på nätet. Men jag är väldigt rätt för en slippery slope.

Lite reservation dock: det är väldigt bra att Kina satsar så mycket på detta med troligen har en stor del av detta att göra med att deras ekonomi inte går så bra. Tyvärr finns det rätt konflikterande mål med detta...

Alltså. Jag är ju helt emot vinst i skola och förskola. Men nog handlar detta om att barnen får lära sig hur pant funkar och sedan får äta frukten (bokstavligt talat) av sitt arbete?

Det finns ju en del olika perspektiv också. Jag är ju själv chef/tjänsteman så jag sticker lite tidigare och jobbar på kvällen baserat på familjesituation men lite misstänksam är jag att ge någon annan samma frihet. Allt bör ju handla om ge och ta. Får du styra tider själv får duvara mer tillgänglig

Att tillåta hemarbete är smart och krävs nog av arbetsgivare för att vara attraktiva men det är å ena sidan lätt att vara för slapp och på andra sidan lätt att vara för snäv.

... Och när covid slog till drog man ned antal platser. Efter covid så krävde man att folk skulle sitta på kontoret mer och följden blev att inte alla kan få plats. Så om du kommer i kornas tid får du spendera XX antal minuter på att hitta plats. Yay...

Jag är själv emot hemarbete för att jag är klart mindre fokuserad där. Men förstår att det hjälper rejält.

Anketod: när växjö kommun byggde nytt så var det det där idiotiska öppna landskapet som ingen tycker är bra utom chefer som inte behöver sitta där...

Jag tror också det hjälper sd sidan. Moderaterna? Mjae. Knappast. Jag tror om man gillar detta med att skicka bistånd med korruption som syfte för att man hatar folk med fel hudfärg så kommer man istället välja SD. Där rasismen är på riktigt. Moderaterna kommer ha det svårt.

Played some #onepagerules in the summer house last weekend. Always a fun thing with a accessible simpler game that is still tactical interesting.

We do a one-night thing. As most of us have small children it is much easier getting away one night.

We also eat nice 🤪

Finishing up my Legion Imperialis 2500 pts with the secondary army of imperial guard. Will add a titan (warhound) at a later stage together with some reinforcements so I can play 3k pts small units o with one titan.
