In an effort to get donors to award more money from these accounts to charities, a new giving day was born last year: DAF Day. 

Now in its second year, DAF Day takes place TODAY, Oct. 9.

One of the hottest buzzwords in fundraising the last few years is DAFs—donor advised funds. These accounts, which allow people to set aside money for charity while getting a tax break upfront, have more than $250 billion in them.

The exhibition remains on display through Jan. 10, 2026. You can also read more about the magazine in the fall 2025 edition of Under the Arches, our quarterly program brochure. Copies are available at the library, or donors who give $100+ annually receive a copy in the mail.

The late 19th and early 20th centuries are known as “the Golden Age of Magic”. Pequot Library joined the trend in 1914 when they invited Al Baker (1874-1951) to perform in Pequot Library’s auditorium.

Naumec will share how the project identified, preserved, and interpreted key Pequot War battle sites—and how emerging technologies are reshaping our understanding of this pivotal conflict.
