he stopped for a moment to gander at the statue. that was somewhat unfamiliar to him. quickly shaking his head as they address him. taking seat right next to them.

" a little uneasy, nothing i can't shake off though. "

it's a weird from of nostalgia. not one he'd rather return to. but if it's something that can provide comfort for them. he can tolerate anything.

lightly dragging behind. his gaze more or less remains on them the whole time.

" mm.. "

he gently clutches their hand in return. keeping the same warm gaze as they glance up at him.

with a gentle tug, he quietly guides them onwards.

he lets the silence sit for a moment. it's probably best not to push further. they seem to already be on the edge of breaking into something else again.

" .. that's fine, too.
anywhere you'd like? "

" take your time. "

leaning to place a smooch on their forehead. he wasn't expecting an immediate answer, or one at all. but can't say he didn't try. reaching out to gently grasp their hands.

" even if you've got to mumble it to me, i'll listen. "

" fine, fine. "

it is nice, he won't complain. feels a bit stuffy for a moment, though. he can't resist a light cheek squeeze before his hands retreat to his sides.

" wanna tell me what that was all about? "

he instinctually flinched slightly when their palm heated up. unsure if it's really proper or.. safe, to do this when he's still wearing it. but suppose he trusts them.

" you didn't have tooooo. it's fiiine.

i can tolerate a little soggy luk. "

" eh? "

he takes a peek. his face instinctually coils up in slight disappointment. one big sigh.

" .. it's fine. as long as you are. it's just another shirt anyway. "

softly petting them.

much better. it's enough to indicate to him that they're feeling a little better already.

when they look up to him, he takes a moment before greeting them with a small smile.

gently petting them. another arms comes and coils around their back. cupping them in a warm embrace. chest raises and lowers rhythmically as he takes slow and steady breaths.

just giving them their time.

letting @xcurioussoul.bsky.social nuzzle up to his chest. although he's still confused why so abruptly..
