There are so few people alive now who even know what it's like to live on standard time. And those who live by the sun probably don't much care what the rest of the idiots in society want to set their clocks to.

For the entirety of my life we've been gradually making DST longer and longer, pushing the switch later and later in the year, making the switch harder and harder to adjust to.
The change in the Spring doesn't have the same effect.

The reason people want permanent daylight saving time is like the frog in the boiling water. Let's see if I can explain.
