After I shipped The Last of Us 2 it took a few years before I could find joy in level design again. The thought of doing level layout made me feel ill. I felt broken. Fortunately I was able to shift my work to technical design and tools for a while. Eventually it came back.

I was pretty disappointed in that episode. Esp for a show that often stands out and does things differently, it felt like a cowardly reversal. Also Chili’s sister was magically pregnant at the end, upending that great episode about coming to terms with her infertility.
