Visiting the Bay Area is bittersweet. I love the nostalgia of memories of my 20s but seeing downtown Mountain View dead during the day is a reminder that the past is gone and the future is a new opportunity.

With all of the unprecedented damage and uncertainty in LA right now, I see life going on. The fact that people can continue on our my lives reminds me that I’m lucky and I remain grateful for what I’ve got.

The outpouring of support from the different fire departments sending support crew down here to LA is amazing. Warms my heart, and I teared up a bit when SF FD posted a video of their trucks ringing their bells on the way down.

* Erewhon people gladly consuming their overpriced snake oil because it’s popular.
