this is a huge problem with book/media community nowadays and it should be concerning. people try to sound smart or "better than others" in opinions and at the end of the day they come out as rude, thickheaded and ignorant towards other people' points

The adoption ad is far from the first one she’s seen—there’s no such thing as privacy anymore, especially online, and these kinds of targeted posts are expected as an alpha. Despite her friends trying to bully her into finding an omega of her own, she doesn’t usually pay the posts any attention. She’s fine on her own, and if she’s occasionally lonely, it’s nothing she can’t deal with. She has her friends and her art, both of which keep her busy, and she’s very content being single. Prefers it actually, as she tells her friends every time they bring it up. They always look at her like it’s bullshit.

There’s something about the omega’s face that makes her pause. He’s good looking—beautiful, actually, which feels like a red flag, how has he not already found an alpha who wants him? His eyes seem to bore into her own, looking into her very soul even through the screen. She would describe his expression as closed off if not for how he seems to see her even from a photo. It’s as if he’s looking directly at her. Like he’s hers to own and protect. Which is ridiculous—they don’t even know each other. It’s simply a well taken photograph of a handsome man.

She scrolls past before an almost tugging sensation in her chest has her scrolling back up and sending a link to the post to herself. Just in case she wants to look at it later. She likely won’t, she tells herself. Because this omega isn’t hers and nothing about her life has changed. She doesn’t need him. She tucks him name—Aleksander—away in a safe corner of her mind out of habit. She’s always taking note of little details, which is helpful for her work. It doesn’t mean anything.
