Two fish in a tank. One says to the other 'How do you drive this thing?' Most pics I stole from internet searches - I give credit if I know the source. Please don't beg me for money. I don't reply to DMs from people I don't know.

03.03.2026 12:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Aye, I've been there, Natural history, Science museums etc, but not for some time now. I'd far rather explore London using the hols in the ground, as opposed to taxis - I find busy urban areas a bit stressful. I heard there's a campsite near an entrance to the Underground - I'd be up for that π

My previous life in Social Services, I did my share of recruitment. It's such a tedious process, the littlest things would have the recruitment panel in hysterics, as we struggled to extract what fun we could.
One of my greatest regrets is never to have had an applicant say that at an interview π
I think the problem is compounded by people who can't be arsed to fact-check, and/or who *don't* make informed opinions by learning different points of view.
Public opinion's too easily manipulated by unscrupulous people who are good at advertising, social media etc. They're weaponising AI π¬
Oh, I'm never happier than when I'm up to my armpits in a bit of peer-reviewed research I've found on a reputable online source, medical or otherwise π
Agreed, there's plenty of human-made misinformation out there - and this new wave of generative AI slop that's flooding the internet is even worse.
They're in a league of their own, aren't they?
Where I live, we imaginatively refer to them as 'Black and white' catsπ
IMHO the real medical emergency is those idiots thinking they're better off consulting Chat GPT than NHS 111 or their GP surgery.
AI has it's uses, but all this inappropriate slop it's being used for is enshittifying EVERYTHING, isn't it?

I haven't got dodgy valves afaik, but I've got arthritic shoulders and hips, and my physical fitness levels leave a lot to be desired. I'm currently procrastinating about getting into condition π

Who said he looked bad? I agree with you; given his age, medical history, and the fact he abused his body with anabolic steroids in his youth (before they were made illegal), I think he looks great!
But you have to admit, the resemblance is undeniable. I bet he'd agree π
Hello, you! I hope you're in fine fettle this morning π

His man-boob eyes, paunch, and belly-button mouth bear a startling resemblance to the piscine visage of Admiral Ackbar. NB. For the benefit of the uninitiated, Ackbar is a member of the amphibious Mon Calamari species from the Star Wars franchise. Basically, he looks like a fish in a space suit.

Album cover I found on an image search, depicting a photo of a four piece French 'boy band', all sporting rather ostentatious moustaches, resplendent in their cardigans, lounging at the base of a plinth of a statue that isn't in shot, but I think it might be Louis XIV. The album title (and, I suspect the name of the band) is 'Les Moustaches'. Apart from the above description, I'm kind of lost for words.
Today, I shall mostly be listenin' to this:
