This was painted in 2021. My first time picking up acrylic painting again after more than a decade working mostly digital.

The re-learning process was a little rocky, but it was a very enjoyable experience. I wish I get to do this more often.

Went out to lunch with my daughters, brought a couple of newly bought acrylic markers with me to try it out.

I love how opaque these markers are, but you can't really blend them. Great for more graphical artworks.

Haha that Trial by Stone was kind of funny, I remember thinking, "are these guys going to chop each other up?"

Am I the only one remembered every seconds of Skesis dinning scene from Dark Crystal?

The way they ate etched into my mind when I was a kid. The puppeteering was so good that I really preferred that over CGI.

You are right. Robots take a lot longer. The only time I can remember having to draw a hordes of robots was the page that a swam of zombie Transformers trying get through a door. That WAS a pain. 😂
