The Government of Saskatchewan has thrown into confusion the future of a shelter in downtown Moose Jaw by contradicting a relocation announcement initially confirmed by Premier Scott Moe and Justice Minister Tim McLeod.

The Government of Saskatchewan has not responded to my request for further clarity on this story.
It's worth noting the operators of the shelter, The John Howard of Society of Saskatchewan were not told about the decision.
They found out about the announcement when contacted by CBC News.
Confused? So am I.
I've highlighted to the province that the statement contradicts McLeod's comments and the comments made by Premier Scott Moe, who spoke for 10 minutes after Moose Jaw Mayor James Murdock announced he been directed by the Ministry of Social Services.

The province now says it has NOT provided a directive to move the shelter.
That comes hours after Just Minister Tim McLeod said "The request of the city is really to work together with the Ministry of Social Services to identify a location that the city feels is appropriate."
