Since then, we have a local Indivisible group (I am VP), have sponsored many local protests, food drives and public awareness. Every time I meet more people and our group is growing! Not only do I feel I’m doing my part resisting the Trump Administration, I feel a sense of community.

3) In late February, I made a social media post and rec’d a response “have you thought about having a town hall without Bergman”? I hadn’t. This man (Bob Cook) was a complete stranger from Chicago with media/communications experience & offered to help in any way he could.

2)A little background on me. I am 71 years old and in a wheelchair (MS). Escanaba & the UP is predominantly red. I moved to Escanaba in 1999 but knew very few people, especially like-minded people. I was involved with successfully recalling 3 County Commissioners and started meeting others.

I live in Escanaba, MI (UP) and was one of the first to have an Empty Chair town hall for Rep Jack Bergman (who’s had a grand total of 2 town halls, 2017). The town hall was held 3/6/25 and there were approx 160 in attendance. Rachel Maddow even picked it up!
