Does he realise that culture and countries are ever-changing??

#Whitesupremacists are stupid. First of all, doing a Nazi salute is always wild. But I’d argue that it’s even more wild when you’re 1. From a country that FOUGHT AGAINST the Nazis &
2. Belong to an ethnicity the Nazis deemed as β€œinferior”. Unless you’re German or Scandinavian, you were NOT β€œAryan”.

But why does it matter?

While listening and reading are slightly different and do different things to the brain, I don’t think it really matters. Audiobooks are great because you can get stuff done while β€œreading” ☺️☺️ exercise, clean the house…

You’re one person. You’re not an expert on autism. You’re only an expert on your own autism. It’s widely documented that a lot of autistic people don’t display emotions the way NTs do. You’re dismissing the realities of those with higher support needs than you. Be better.

I found reading the book Let the Right One In more enjoyable than watching the film. I loved the references to 1980s Sweden. If you’re not Swedish you’ll miss out on a lot of the magic.

I personally loved the scene where they’re all in a taxi, playing a game of who can name the most sparkling water brands. I felt that it summarised the whole point of the story.

I guess my experience is different. My autistics son’s reaction to 90% of things is: πŸ˜•. Someone jumps out and scares him? πŸ˜• He sees his grandfather and grandfather’s new puppy? πŸ˜• he’s receiving a Christmas present? πŸ˜• His lack of facial expressions would make most people assume he doesn’t gaf.
