What if there was a mindful way to steal peopleβs art, pollute Black neighborhoods, and raise everyoneβs electric bill?

Media Matters analyzed a year of NYT coverage of anti-trans bills and found that 66% of the time the paper didn't quote a trans person. Further, it found that the paper often quoted right wing sources without mentioning their histories of anti-trans rhetoric.
So "right-wing rag" is pretty accurate.
Thatβs quite fair!

nazis frothing at the mouth in bloodlust swinging their war boners around
liberals glad it happened but mildly disapproving of the lack of paperwork
socialists being told to shut up about it because it risks the midterms somehow.
yep just like every other resource war of imperialist aggression
Excerpt from The Guardian story, featuring midterm candidates looking to change the Democratic party. Copy on excerpt reads: THE GUARDIAN: US NEWS HEADLINE: "'Are you willing to fight back?: Democrats ready to take on party's old guard ahead of midterms" Photo of Kat showcased holding a stack of yard signs. Copy below reads: "Another test case is Illinois' deep blue 9th District, where Kat Abughazaleh, 26, a progressive Palestinian American, is taking on a Democratic establishment she accuses of complacency and cowardice."
Excerpt from The Guardian story, featuring midterm candidates looking to change the Democratic party. Copy on excerpt reads: "Abughazaleh believes that Democrats have long failed to meet the moment of taking on the far right. For her and many progressive challengers across the country, countering the Trump administration is inextricably linked to combating the influence of groups such as Aipac and challenging the corporate status quo. Abughazaleh said: "I even see it in my own campaign where there are local leaders and elected officials that call me before endorsing one of my opponents, apologetically saying, I love what you're doing but I'm feeling a lot of pressure to endorse this way or the other. They feel that pressure in the first place instead of being able to stick to their values and it's a shame that we have a party that makes people feel like that." "I don't know how many times we have to keep doing the same thing over and over and over again of insisting that we have to be more moderate, that we have to move to the right," Abughazaleh added, arguing that policies ensuring affordable housing, groceries and healthcare should represent the political centre."
You donβt beat the far right with moderation. You have to confront it.
Career politicians are unequipped to handle this moment. Itβs time for them to step aside.

28.02.2026 23:14 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Democrats don't historically undo what the Republicans fuck us into; they just keep the new status quo mostly as is until the Republicans can get back in power and start fucking things up again. I don't see anybody trusting America again, we are clearly an inherently unstable nation.

I'm hearing reports that the elderly despotic leader is now afraid to reenter the capital and is attempting to establish a functioning government in a gilded palace located in a remote southern part of the country.

Again, hot. But sometimes in weird ways, and rarely in boring, generic ways.

If I was a 93 casting director looking for gravity & confidence where even an amateur director with a middling script can still get the juice from the actor, Iβd call KM.)

Most of the other leads (even PS and AB) started by doing Acting, which is why itβs so impressive when someone like KM can come in and just Be.
Honestly, and I say this loving all the casts, this is an area where the Voyager ensemble shown right from day one, though of course KM is the highlight.
I say this as a big fan of KM & GB: they bothβ¦ did their same usual got-to acting choices immediately evident in previous projects. The triumph of Janeway out the gate is a testament to castingβs importance, not to say they both didnβt put in good work.
28.02.2026 19:05 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0anyone choosing this moment to be all "here's what you get with republicans: bombs in the middle east" needs to grow up rapidly, considering what the last dem admin did in gaza & their current support for trump's actions right now. this is what you get with (wholly bipartisan) american imperialism

Which is a long lead up to saying Iβve never played any god of war games, and I have no horse in this race beyond always hoping a new show is good: itβs a bad promo photo. Itβs not the worst ever, and I have no real sense of how βaccurateβ it is to the game or the show.
Itβs not just gamers hating.
I occasionally play Mario kart 64 & sonic 2 on genesis, and Iβve played several games over the years (goldeneye, bioshock, uncharted, portal, some detective ones I donβt recall titles of), but Iβd not really consider myself a gamer anymore than someone who has seen some marvel movies is a cinephile.
