Working on the #coastcoat and it’s almost done — just need to adjust these crazy long sleeves! I like how they look cuffed so I might keep a bit of length.

Honestly I just cut out the same shape and stitch it together (squares plus diagonally cut squares for example, or just one or the other) until it gets big enough? But I also just saw this new pattern and I think it’d be so cute to do with scraps! www.patreon.com/miesjechafer

I have a loose idea but no finished dimensions I’m going for! I may make it into a quilt coat or just keep it as a blanket/hanging… we’ll see!!

Starting up a new quilt full of Ohio stars ✨ I haven’t done this in a while and I feel like it wasn’t this tedious before?? Maybe I’m just spoiled by having sewn so many knits just before this 🤪

It is! It’s a thrifted bedsheet. I held onto it forever because I couldn’t decide what to make, but I’m really happy to see it every day like this.

A couple recent makes — a new ironing board cover and some baby sweatpants! Insane how tiny these pattern pieces are

Conquered my fear of twin needles hemming this baby!! This is the #wrenfleece in a 12oz stretch terry, sized down one size because of the lighter fabric. So cozy and still plenty oversized, clearly!

Been sick all week which sucked, I miss my extracurriculars and friends. But I enjoyed having these patchwork #adamspants to work on when I had energy. I took them in a bit and changed the back pockets. Basted the waistband on for sewing club feedback on Sunday! I cropped out my feet 😂 #sewsky

I did! Just did some measurements to recreate. Did a super loose elastic for the opening just to encourage things not to fall out but didn’t want a whole drawstring situation. I’m gonna use the clip from the original otherwise not sure what I’d do for that! Maybe Velcro strap?

Instead of cleaning up my sewing room I started making a new treat bag for my dog and it’s so cute 😭 just need the little strap to hang it from our pants

glass and crystal objects are hard to capture but they can look so good! I remember I did a glass once — I need to look and see if I still have the print

Haha I love this! And yes to reworking old makes, at least depending on the difficulty. I have an old pair of jeans where the zipper is peeking out, I’d love to fix them but it feels so daunting!

Franklin t-shirt 0000-18 - The Pattern Line Franklin t-shirt sewing pattern in US sizes 4x0-18

Here’s a link to that pattern. I should really make more as the fit is lovely too.

The sizing is limited because it only has center back seam and not side seams so it’s limited to the width of knit fabrics. If you’re out of the size range, I’m happy to share the instructions if you’re curious!

Regardless of pattern, I really like using the instructions for the Franklin tee by the pattern line. She does a great job with organizing the steps, and has instructions on adding back neck tape too. I learned a lot the first time I made it. If you don’t have a go to pattern, I recommend it!
