My most recent commission - a really fun challenge making non-standard VTuber models! This is my test live tracking my motion in VSeeFace to make sure it's all working correctly🪶

the fact that most ai uses words as their interface is arbitrary, you could navigate through the "space" of a ai any number of ways. knowing that kinda destroys the illusion

ok a real esoteric one is that ai art generators are art but it's one interactive work of art, akin to a high budget video game built on stolen work, and that all ai images produced by an image generator are part of a single (shitty) work of art. and ai minecraft is the best example

tldr: even when an ai says something true we are the ones projecting meaning onto it, it can't produce information on its own

2/2 the sky that we have a shared experience of. but it's not. and what makes this annoying is that "the sky is blue" isn't true in this sense. the ai does not know what the sky is or what blue is. the only meaning in the pattern of symbols produced by ai is in the pattern itself which is useless

i forget the proper vocabulary but basicly my main one is that the magic trick ai is pulling only works because humans assume that anything capable of producing a sign understands what the signified is so when an ai says: "the sky is blue" we assume that words in that order refer to 1/2

i want you all to know that i have objections to the use of ai that are esoteric enough that i will likely never talk about them because they feel unimportant in the face of all the more obvious problems

the potentially humorous implication of this post is inaccurate. my money actually vanished because i found a shirt i can wear without being constantly aware of the fabrics texture and i immediately bought 7 of them
