One thing I do like about Marathon's shell system is the Rook. Forces you to solo against squads but if you play careful you can grab loot without fear of losing anything you already had

Have either of you encountered anyone not immediately going for the kill? I feel like most folks I encounter go immediately for the kill even if they aren't equipped for it
