The most important reason is they find the costs of their current subscription too high. Young people under 35 are the most likely to want to switch (39%), and more often because they are dissatisfied with the quality of their connection, new research by Telecompaper shows. The figures come from a representative survey conducted in September by the Telecompaper Consumer Insights panel. It shows that customers at Scarlet, Proximus' low-cost brand, are the most loyal, with only 18 percent saying they intend to change ISP in the coming year. Voo has the highest share of customers planning a move, at 33 percent, likely due to the operatorβs ongoing integration with Orange. The latest reports suggest the Voo brand may disappear within the next year, and customers will have to move to Orange plans.

02.10.2025 14:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oracle is reportedly part of a consortium that will acquire an 80 percent stake in TikTok US, according to the Wall Street Journal. The news comes as founder Larry Ellison has risen to the number two spot on the world billionaires list, with a current wealth thought to be around USD 368 billion. His next target may be Warner Bros Discovery. What more could be coming? Given the business and geopolitical implications of this expanding empire, we look briefly here at the rise of Oracle and the Ellison family. He has a 40 percent stake in database software company Oracle. Oracle's share price is up threefold since December 2021. Oracle is expanding its global cloud network (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, OCI), rivaling AWS (Amazon), GCP (Google) and Azure (Microsoft). OCI primarily serves Oracle services and currently counts as the world's number four cloud. The Ellison family acquired a majority stake in the newly formed Paramount Skydance film and television company. Larry Ellison holds 27.5 percent, his son David Ellison 50 percent, and RedBird Media the remainder. These stakes will however be slightly diluted, as the NFL is added as a shareholder. According to Bloomberg, the Ellisons are preparing an all-cash offer for Warner Bros Discovery, ahead of the latter's proposed split in 2026. That would result in another merger for Paramount. Now, Oracle may enter the social media market by becoming a strategic investor in TikTok US. It will offer cloud services in order to keep user data within the US. The TikTok unit was valued at USD 300 billion last December. One may only wonder what could be next for the Ellisons: a music company? An AI company? A chips manufacturer? A satellite company? With Larry Ellison's net worth alone, the sky is the limit.
