This week, we talked #CircularEconomy with Commissioner @jessikaroswall.ec.europa.eu.

With @rethinkplastic.bsky.social, @ecos.ngo and @zerowasteeurope.eu, we highlighted that EU policy must focus on #waste prevention, reuse, repair, and non-toxicity.

Almost 2 years ago, @ec.europa.eu backed the Antwerp Declaration to revive EU industry.
The result? Environmental deregulation, called “simplification.”
Winners: Fossil fuel & petrochemical industries.
Losers: People & the planet.

🚨 EU Commission weakens another set of laws amid maladministration red flags

Once again, @ec.europa.eu is bending their own procedures to chip away at crucial EU laws that protect our health, ecosystems and long-term prosperity.

Who are they actually doing this for?

We're concerned about talks to reopen the #PPWR as part of the upcoming Environmental Simplification Package.
