The president of the United States thinks asylum-seekers come from mental asylums.
He says it in almost every interview where the topic of migration comes up.
How is this not 25th Amendment territory? How is he not an embarrassment to this entire country?
Grijalva: I do think that Speaker Johnson misplayed his hand.
There are people all over this nation who were out there with signs that said, “Swear her in.” They wouldn’t have even known about me otherwise.
Thank you for highlighting how corrupt the system you’re protecting really is.
you don't have to put on blackface to get social media attention. you can simply develop mild depression, join a menswear forum, spend the next 15 years arguing about pants, and then weaponize the knowledge against your enemies on social media.

There are so many great independent outlets, a list too long but this is a fantastic starter pack. PLEASE pick a few & support them if you're able.

Here's a simple fact that those making an AI inevitability argument do not want to reckon: it's not too late. Resistance thrives on chaos, and this brand of unmonitored chaos has never met the friction and revolutionary spirit of academic freedom-perhaps the very thing that will cause us to collectively remember that generative AI has no meaningful place in writing pedagogy, no ability to be implemented with integrity, and isn't even passably slay at writing. It is a thieving, hallucinating, biased, data-scraping, ecоdestroying, surveillance bot that will never be able to reconcile the receipts of its unethical origins. Not only are writing faculty allowed to resist, we are now called to do so by our own morals and steadfast, unabashedly idealistic belief in creative craft. Make mine a pour over.
