Gotta say that I was enthralled by the first half of FF. And then it was kind of a letdown. Not bad just not as good and more predictable.

Thunderbolts was better, IMO. The path to Avengers: Doomsday is quite clear now, too, and then they’re going to reboot the whole mess, for better or worse.

We saw it today, too. I thought it was a solid B, though the bar is so low now. FF was never a fave of mine, but all other movie attempts were just dreadful that this seemed brilliant in contrast, lol! Also, it’s weird seeing Pedro play a character who struggles to reconcile logic and emotion.

IT’S COMING HOME AGAIN!

LOL! Now there’s a side hustle idea: personal bartender, fee by the cocktail. That could get pretty expensive.

So I made that whiskey smash and it was a treat. Seeing that it’s a pleasantly cool evening, I decided a Boulevardier would be most excellent. #cocktails

Oh, I think lessons were learned, just not the right ones by the right people.

Thinking about making some cocktails this evening. Saw a YouTube clip and was reminded that I have bourbon, lemons, and tons of mint growing in the garden. Hello, whiskey smash!

When you can’t score with an offensive-leaning formation/tactics, better to shore up the defense until reinforcements arrive, I guess.

I had turned on notifications for new posts from @npr.org but I found it was just fueling anxiety when what I was really looking for are breaking news alerts and slice of life pieces that I might otherwise miss. Guess I’ll go back to just checking the app once or twice a day when I have time. :)
