And now newgen sonic fans have the audacity to complain “ugh shadow is in too much!” if only you knew how bad things could be.

In retrospect it’s kind of crazy sega didn’t majorly use their 2nd most popular character (shadow) for like over a decade so they could pander to oldhead game reviewers who wouldn’t care about new sonic games unless they were copies of sonic 3 anyway

I think the first couple ones are still very popular but the newer entries were kind of stale.. ngl my main concern is that it made it so they had less staff on the actual sonic games LOL iirc they had a heavy hand working on crossworlds for example

Tho I imagine if they did do any new sonic Olympic Games now I think they’d just stick poor sega hardlight with the job

The olympics ending their partnership with Mario & sonic was such a blessing in disguise for sega. They really had a whole division of sonic team stuck making shovelware slop for the foreseeable future

I think my issue with the other two mini games is that they just don’t really change the strategy. I guess ring collecting does but that would work the same solo, but air tricking is a little pointless cuz everyone does as many as possible anyway cuz there’s no risk/consequences to it

Tap your allies/tap boost is easily sonic crossworld’s best team minigame and I need them to keep it in for any future instalments.. genuinely changes up the strategy and is really fun
