I dont know what people were expecting, them to wave a magic wand and everything to be alright? Yes it's not been great at all but on the other hand he was clear at the start they would be making unpopular decisions early on.

Were incredible to encounter, all that suffering etched into the walls. Reminded me of the graffiti on the walls of Fresnes prison in France (only seen this in Henri calet's book Les Murs de Fresnes though)

These are the etchings left on the wall at the old Breakwater Prison (now a hotel and part of the university) in Cape Town, left by prisoners well over 100 years go by the isolation blocks and dreaded treadmill #distancedrift
