Tonight was supposed to be a decent networking night in regards my job and hoooooly crap, I did not realize how important some of the people I was networking with are. These people are -top- of my field and like.. top of the top 😵‍💫 It went great which I'm happy about but goddamn.. powerful people

Late post but yesterday, after a much needed quiet day, was a return to Cambridge - this time to visit Kings College Chapel (which has the tallest fan vaulted ceiling in the world), the Polar Expedition museum, and the Earth Sciences museum

Sadly it was a one day trip but I'll keep those places in mind for next time. The rum bar sounds particularly intriguing 👀

Oh absolutely. It's like peak library apparatus. If you get a rolling ladder then you know you've got a good library

A big travel day - Donnington Castle, Stonehenge, the Roman Baths, and then exploring the rest of the city of Bath (where I stumbled across a bookstore that felt like exactly what I would do if I won the lottery 🥺). History across the last 5000 years all in one big day 😌

Still can't believe they launched the thing. It was only a small iron cannonball-ish weight but still, wicked to see it fire 🔥

Jousting and raptors and trebuchets oh my. Yesterday was a trip to Warwick castle. First time I've been there despite living down the road for the last five-odd years. Quite a delightful little day out.

Hiking in the Peak District! Went scrambling and found a few caves. Ended up being thankful for the cooler weather considering all the steep rock paths we had to climb

Visited the Cotswolds yesterday and went to Birdland. So many excellent birds there. So many bird pictures on my phone. Some of my favourites here though (particularly the chonky penguin that was all good vibes)

Day 3 was Oxford!

A swift visit to Cambridge today and then off to the Lotus factory for a tour of their production line and their racing heritage collection. Kind of crazy seeing the actual cars that the likes of Fittipaldi, Clark, Senna, and Rindt won GPs and Championships in

First day of exploring the UK was great. We found Shakespeare's birthplace and literally every swan in England

Sat at Heathrow's International arrivals zone. Dunno what excites me more - exploring the country with a friend who's never been here before or two weeks off of work 😂

The mother is recovering separately but the procedure appears to be a success. First time propagating my spider plant so here's hoping the babies start to root 🙏
