I'd be more likely to click through if the linking post was clear about genre, main plot points, and basic tropes. (NOT the arrows thing, an actual list.)

(There are many popular plot lines which I am not interested in, so I want to know what's available before I go in.)

I have read 'threadfics', though they're somewhat annoying (the character limit's a problem).

If an excerpt is linked to off-site, I ... might? click through. I don't usually, though, because I'm, um. Cranky. Also picky about genre.

I know my morale would greatly improve with several Permission Slips!

A chain near me does surveys about whether they should open earlier or later or stay the same. I always ask the clerk which they prefer and choose that, because it matters NOTHING to me, but might be desperately important to them.

Other than that, I skip all the surveys I can.

One of the most important things I've learned, here on Teh Intarwebz is that:

is vital.

Yes, I could respond to that post about [thing], but would I get anything other than yelled at by someone who's glad I took the bait? No.

This isn't very comforting, but we're watching the movie about the Deepwater Horizon disaster. Gripping and horrifying.

Late in 2024, we looked at what was happening and immediately signed up for every vaccination CVS in our area has. ALL OF THEM. We didn't bother with checking titers, we just got the shots.

SUCH a relief.

I agree with this reasoning, but I also am laughing because my flock of spoiled-rotten backyard hens absolutely get hand-chopped fresh veggies every day.

(They *also* scratch and peck at the ground, true, but they are extremely spoilt.)

We got really lucky. We bounced between three dealerships and one was willing to really drop the price, so I got a shiny new 2025 for well under the going rate. I went for the Sport, because it had better colors.

I'm in NH and when he first got reported on, I was interested. Then his actual self showed up and I lost interest. I don't know why that's so hard - he isn't who he was originally being portrayed as, so my opinion changed.

I have a new Subaru and I'm excited every time I get to fill the back with chicken supplies.

(My previous car was a Geo Metro, which has so much room inside and has amazing fuel economy, but also doesn't have air bags, so...)

Stories with interpersonal angst aren't wrong. They are just things I don't want to read. I'm delighted for the people who are enjoying them. I'd never dream of telling those people what they enjoy is wrong.

If it's her job and this is the space she has paid for with the right mirrors, then it's just like someone doing bicep curls while watching themselves to perfect their form.
