It’s just that it would be nice to meet people i don’t have to feel like I have to be a caregiver too 😅

last RE friend i made was so young that I had dinner with their parents to be like “Im not a creep, we just both really like to obsess over fictional characters and make silly costumes” 💀💀

I do when I see them but RE isn’t super popular in France it seems 😭😭 the ones I’ve met were also WAY younger than me 💀

And yeah cons are usually the only time I get to be around people who like similar stuff irl. I’m not exactly the “gets approached a lot” type idk why 🥲 but I still try to enjoy the vibe tho

Having been front row for more than one poasting meltdown by the mods that leads to tears and everyone banned or the mod being chased out, it's kind of odd watching the literal federal government do it.

and you tell yourself “it’s fine, I’m doing this for me,”—which is true—but underneath that, there’s still this quiet ache that says “it would’ve been nice if someone cared” 🫠

and as a result it kinda makes you share less and less—I journal, I still take progress pictures from time to time but I don’t send them out anymore because what’s the point? 😅

and like, the process fills me up, it gives me purpose and focus—but when it’s over and there’s silence around it, it starts to feel like all that energy just dissipated into the void sometimes

That emptiness after the “creation high”—when the piece is finished, the paint dries, and there’s no one to share that heartbeat of “look, I made this!!” it’s depressing

I love cosplay, I love creating stuff with my own hands—but I admit it’s incredibly lonely to be doing that on my own with no sense of community. kinda makes it feel all meaningless once the joy of making something passes you know

it's been a year since I've been to any kind of convention so I'm kinda anxious tbh

gonna finish RE6 Leon for Paris YCon in November, don't think anyone will recognize him but it's ok 💀
