It’s astonishing, but the Court seems to be the most vain and terrible trouble to the freedoms provided in the Bill of Rights.

I do think it’s ideologically consistent. In both cases they hold that people higher up the hierarchy (men, parents) have supreme authority over their subordinates.

It’s utterly fucked up, but it is consistent.

Yeah my sense of it is that the Florida ruling is correct but this is obviously wrong in light of that. What’s good for the goose ain’t apparently good for the gander anymore

The applicant would re-file under Rule 22.4, and it would be referred to the full Court, which would do whatever it wants to do (but only after a pretty significant breach in the Court's internal decorum).
