The Call for Contributions for the 5th International Conference on Social Solidarity and the Commons in Lisbon is now open. This event will be held from November 26–28, 2025 at Iscte in Lisbon, and will focus on “Collapse and Regeneration:Community-led initiatives prefiguring liveable futures”

The International Sociological Association (ISA) deeply mourns the tragic passing of Michael Burawoy, a leading sociologist, Professor of Sociology at UC Berkeley, and the 17th President of ISA. Michael was fatally struck in a hit-and-run accident on February 3rd. His loss is immeasurable.
