Racism is fundamentally wrong, no matter who it targets. But if you take some of these statements from our political leaders, from columnists, and replace the word “Muslim” with the name of many other minority groups, they would be quickly understood as racist.

I remember how the “shock and awe” of the US attack on Iraq ended in decades of broken cities, broken people and broken promises. Trump’s and Netanyahu’s bombs today can only produce more of this in Iran. Australia must reject this illegal attack.
