10.06.2025 06:45 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0In Child Benefit the whole benefit is charged back from the highest earner, even if the lower earner isn't earning at all. It seems applying this same tweak to the High Income Child Benefit charge would help make that fairer as well.

Except the government has divided the benefit between the two pensioners before then charging back through the tax system.
