Finished my Valentines day pin up of Rising! Instead of lingerie, went with the idea of her girl friend painting over her scars! I really like how the face turned out, just to see how my style has evolved, and it was also fun to color in normally, then get in a painting mindset for the body paint!

Rising has a very lax and laid back way of speaking from growing up in the boonies. Sort all talkin' like this an' shite. HOWEVER, she makes a point when introducing herself as Rising Lotus, or just Rising, always making sure to say her first name correctly.

She turned out amazing, that rendering slaps so hard!

Working on my pinup piece for my annual tradition, and it's really cool to see like, the same expression but a years different in terms of practice and style. Between the rendering and details, it's cool to see improvement in places.

Crimson Jackal, the estranged father or Rising Lotus! A dead beat dad that ran out on his wife and daughter, with maybe good excuses. He's dead now, Jackal having sacrificed himself in the end to help save her. It just pissed Rising off though since she couldn't deck him.

Feral soul wip. I think it's really cool that just in the line art the hunched over pose looks better and is conveyed better than a piece I did a couple years back now. Same thing with the foreshortening of the hands. It's cool to see improvement.

I've never seen a fish unknown for as long as that one, cool to see they finally got the window down!

I would like to sketch more this year, and be more alright just posting them too. I always feel my sketches are too messy, but I think just doing it all the time will improve my work, and just give me refs to use that idea again or finished that piece up.
