#Tice & his part-time squeeze #Oakeshott are resident in Dubai after saying that London was too dangerous.

Andrew has a real understanding of the issues and complexities of British people losing their right to freedom of movement in the Schengen area.

Good on ya John!

There's been a lot of talk about 'toast'. My prediction is that it's Sarwar about to get the grilling.

Walesonline...😱

Starmer or Sarwar? There'll be Scots who will see Sarwar's intervention as political opportunism. They'd be right too.

09.02.2026 14:20 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Agree, their supporters don't though which is so frustrating!

Unless you're a Tory, dark blue or light blue version. If you're one of those you can make mistakes that cost the country billions and the press don't bat an eyelid.

He holds too many purse strings...

08.02.2026 16:29 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Absolutely agree. The government can't be progressive under his influence.

08.02.2026 16:29 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Busted. The reason why I write that Labour MPs want a change of leader is not because it is true, it’s because, aged 22, Starmer took some fortysomething journalists I had never met to court. πŸ€ͺ

06.02.2026 15:24 β€” πŸ‘ 103    πŸ” 6    πŸ’¬ 16    πŸ“Œ 1

Short answer is yes. An absolute disaster.

04.02.2026 23:14 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I prefer people just to do what they feel they need to do, perhaps sharing their reasons so that others understand their strength of feeling. The old cutting card thing is just attention grabbing. Bit like memes using a foreign word to avoid using the common English one.

03.02.2026 09:26 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Ah, the symbolism is more important than the act of leaving the party then? Don't buy it, sorry - I've seen too many now to think it's anything other than attention grabbing.

03.02.2026 09:20 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Everything I've ever read about McSweeney points to him being a lukewarm progressive. Surely that's an attitude? U turns are much more likely as a result.

03.02.2026 09:11 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Oh not the filming yourself cutting up your membership card stunt! It's the kind of thing 12 year olds do.

03.02.2026 00:51 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

I agree, but some of us born in the 20th century struggle to see the world other than through the lens of right and left. I wish I could be confident that a progressive way forward can be found, but my 20th century head only sees revolution I'm sorry to say.

03.02.2026 00:42 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

In my opinion neither McSweeney or Glasman belong in the LP. So far left they've met the far right.

02.02.2026 15:09 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Don't think many people would disagree with that analysis. However, the point is really about what you do rather than what you have in terms of (to quote you) "poncy titles.

31.01.2026 13:13 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Gave up the title but not the money and family privilege. Pick and choose principles! 🀣

31.01.2026 11:52 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

He didn't choose the title, he was born to it, and chose to plough his own furrow. He's a careful and thorough researcher of philosophical and political issues which he relays to the public in measured, clear and thoughtful ways. My point stands; I judge him by what he says not his title.

31.01.2026 10:43 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Sorry, my mistake. You will of course agree that the point I'm making holds more validity if I replace 'went to Eton not Bog Street Comp' with 'he's the 4th Viscount Runciman of Doxford not Dave Runciman from the council estate.

31.01.2026 09:50 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

So let's ignore somebody's lifetime work because he went to Eton? Shall we take the same approach to the lifetime's work of someone who went to Bog Street Comp? Personally I'd prefer to judge the validity of their viewpoint on what they've actually written or said, not the name of their school.

31.01.2026 00:29 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Disagree. The odds are so heavily stacked in their favour that a Traitor has to be really, really epicly bad to lose. Eg. Fiona.

23.01.2026 22:20 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Absolutely. So predictable because the Traitors have way too much in their favour.

23.01.2026 22:18 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

#traitorsuk Unless the format is changed to give Faithfuls a real chance at winning, this programme is doomed to become boring. The odds are stacked way too much in the Traitors' favour and now we know how it works, the novelty is wearing off.
