Persoonia hindii. A great little NSW (near Lithgow) endemic that is sadly, Threatened in nature.
It is a low shrub/groundcover and spreads by rhizome and occurs in dry sclerophyll forests and woodlands on sandy soils however the one photographed here is at Karwarra ANBG in The Dandenongs.
Wahlenbergia stricta is such a lovely thing.

An Australian native, Hibiscus sp.'Benambra' is from Queensland but grows well in Melbourne. Velvety grey divided leaves and large, beetle attracting flowers. Prefers filtered sun but otherwise easily grown.
A medium to tall shrub that responds well to pruning.
