"Artists peak at 30", "30 under 30", "by 30 you should" ridiculous. Arts industries capital craves young people to exploit and burn out. It doesn't want older artists thriving and guiding the young. It also doesn't want artists to exist. Stop letting cannibals tell you you only matter on a plate.

When you’re taking about wanting to uplift BIPOC voices, PLEASE include Middle Eastern voices. It always feels like we’re being pushed aside even within spaces that claims to support us. This needs to change immediately

Especially with how much hate was targeted toward the Middle East in general, even to this day, it can be very hard sometimes to be open about my identity was I would love to

Another big reason was how against the majority of the US (government wise) was towards Iran, especially growing up in the early to late 2000s. It almost like putting a target on my back for possible discrimination over things out of my control

I’m heartbroken. I’m devastated. But beyond all us, I’m angry. I’m livid

I want my Iranian friends and family to be free. But I also do NOT want anyone to lick the boots of the governments who never cared about them once

As an Iranian American who’s lived through seeing the US targeting the Middle East countless times, I’ve seen through their lies in trying to “protect us” or whatever when there’s been just as countless examples of how they never really cared for us to begin. Need I mention the travel bans?

Let’s be real. The governments of the US and Is-not-real do not give a flying fuck about the Iranian people. They only care about them damn selves. Don’t listen to ANY BS they try to spew at you about Iran

I understand that there are Iranians celebrating the attacks being targeted towards the regime. They want it to end by any means necessary and I get it. The thing is I’m worried that they’ll be falling right into US/Is-not-real propaganda as a result of this
