Early by a mile. Also the early 90s logo was the best.

"Why should the fans believe that under your ownership, going forward, it's going to be different than the past"

Kaplan and Levien proceed to give the least convincing answer I've ever seen. Levien boasts about what he's built between the stadium and training facility & now "the next steps"

Do you know why the supporter groups are not here, or at least not making any noise?

We have a group that has seats in 213 and we have openings for 2026. Let me know if you interested in details.

It’s funny, I have season tickets at Nats Park and I don’t think it’s that bad, but I don’t think there is a speaker right near me (Section 213).

I noticed that at the SABR Rangers game.

It’s like the number of licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. Never made it.

Sasaki has said he does not care about big market vs small market. He does care about playing for a contender (the Tigers won a playoff round) and good pitching development (Chris Fetter was just named BA’s coach of the year and has turned around several pitchers). They have a shot.

Well-written and thought out. I’m slightly more optimistic on the bat given his success in 2022 and 2023 but your evaluation might be closer than mine.

I’d be happy with a straight three years and could go four. Some risk but at some point you have to take on risk knowing that you might be essentially eating the end of the contract. It’d be nice to have McGonigle ready before that but by then Kim might still be a useful utility guy.

It’s also the end of the last vestige of the 2005 Nationals. Cristian GuzmΓ‘n, the shortstop on that team, was traded for Tanner Roark, who was later traded for Tanner Rainey.

If I had to rank the Top 3 FA starting pitching fits for the Tigers in 2025 based on fit (reclamation/fixer uppers), and likelihood (1 year deal with potential to earn a larger contract), I believe it would go like this:

1. Frankie Montas
2. Walker Buehler
3. Shane Bieber
