Remembering APP vocalist Lesley Duncan on her birthday (12 August 1943 – 12 March 2010). A gifted songwriter with a beautiful voice, Lesley sang 'If I Could Change Your Mind' on APP’s 1979 album 'Eve'.

‘Standing On Higher Ground’, the lead single from ‘Gaudi’, APP’s 1987 album inspired by the visionary Catalan architect.

The video reflects the isolation of standing apart, looking down on the crowds “running in a rat race.” Geoff Barradale, founder of Vitamin Z, takes the lead vocal.

‘Stereotomy’ is the lead track from APP’s ninth studio album of the same name, released in 1985. Sung by John Miles, with Eric Woolfson taking over vocals in the final minutes.

The video’s mix of filmed and animated dancers was groundbreaking at the time.

'Prime Time' was the second single from 1984's Ammonia Avenue'. The video was inspired by John Collier's story "Evening Primrose" and features two mannequins coming to life and falling in love in a downtown nighttime setting straight out of a horror movie.

Wishing a very happy 80th birthday to Colin Blunstone. His unmistakable voice helped shape some of the most memorable moments in The Alan Parsons Project catalogue, including ‘Old and Wise’ and ‘The Eagle Will Rise Again’.

The Turn Of A Friendly Card was the first single from the 1980 album of the same name. Chris Rainbow sang lead vocals, with APP regulars Ian Bairnson (guitar), David Paton (bass), Stuart Elliott (drums and percussion), and Eric Woolfson (piano and harpsichord).

‘I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You’ was the first official music video by The Alan Parsons Project, taken from the 1977 album ‘I Robot’. The video follows Alan as he uncovers an ancient mask, revealing a robotic figure that comes to life, played by Eric Woolfson.

Happy Birthday to drummer extraordinaire, Stuart Elliott! His unmistakable drumming became a backbone of The Alan Parsons Project from Pyramid onwards. Powerful and precise, he’s the man who always kept perfect time.
